A good first day
Aug. 6th, 2007 04:31 pmSo today was my first day at Bowman. Mostly, I spent the day viewing training videos and filling out paperwork. Joyberries.
But it went well. No problems.
There are some tasty restaurants across the street, including a pita place that does kebabs and such - very chain, very Americanized, but hey, it's pita. They have a hummus sandwich I intend to try tomorrow. There's also an asian place that looks good. I say asian because it's multiple nationalities of food. They have sushi and pad thai and fried rice and so on.
I was hoping to walk Shenzi as exercise this afternoon but it is OPPRESSIVELY hot, so I've elected to go for a swim instead. It won't be long, so Shenzi gets to go back in the crate for a little while and I'll let her out again when I get back. Poor pup, she was in her crate ALL day, since Chris is also at work.
Oh well. It's a dog's life. Somebody's gotta buy the kibble!
