Okay so we went to talk to our trainers again on Friday. The orientation guy gave us these meal plans. They're online and we can do exchanges and all kinds of stuff, so they're fully customizable and so on. Overview: They want us to eat 6 times a day, small portions, lots of fruit.

The thing is, I've gotten used to waking up, going to work, coming home, eating a small snack, and then having dinner. Or, waking up, going to work, eating a big salad for dinner, and then snacking at the game.

In other words, no breakfast, no lunch. In fact, typically no eating until 4 or 5 pm. And a total calorie intake that's probably relatively low, despite the kinds of things I snack on.

So this eating 6 times a day stuff is, so far, hard to get used to. Granted this is only day 2 (we started on Sunday, because we had to take Saturday to shop; fresh fruit? In our apartment? Lemme just say our crisper drawer is fuller than it ever has been before, and we even know which fruits not to refrigerate.), but man, I felt like a pig this morning. Glass of milk, glass of juice, bagel w/cream cheese, apple. And I didn't finish the apple because it fell out of the truck while I was getting in this morning. :( But anyway, it felt like a lot of food!

It's 9 am and in about 90 minutes I'm going to go eat a banana.

Other big change: I have to start actually putting meal bits together into a bag to bring to work. Not so bad; last night the bag got a banana, a muffin, a small bottle of juice, a granola bar, and an orange, and this morning I threw in a yogurt and a hardboiled egg. Still that seems like a lot of food.

Well, here's to keeping my metabolism up! (scarf!)

I give it 3 stars. No masterpiece, but well worth the price of getting into the theater. It had all the elements of a great animated flick, but it was missing something. I think it was just a little rough, and if they'd had another year to polish the script, it would have been fantastic.

Oh well. We shall hopefully see how much of the roughness is the director's fault, how much is the editor's fault, and how much is the writers' fault, when we get the DVD.
